FAQs

Some of my profile information does not seem to be up to date.  Why is that?

Student information is pulled directly from the student's record and updated on a daily basis. If you notice inaccurate information in your profile more than a week after you have made updates with the Records Office, please e-mail bridge@loyola.edu.

I want to make changes to my profile, but the field says it is "read only."  How can I make those changes?

Any fields with "read only" are from your Student Record. If you believe that your student information is incorrect, please e-mail records@loyola.edu.

I don't want my profile visible on The Bridge.  But, I still want to use the platform to join groups and see events.  How do I change my privacy settings?

Access your account settings by clicking on the circle in the top right corner of the screen. Select "Privacy Settings."  On the following screen, you will be able to control what aspects of your profile you want visible. You can also choose to deactivate your entire profile, however, you may be unable to register or check-in for certain events, join groups, or receive group emails.

In my Privacy Settings, I want to change the setting for "Directory: Hide me from the directory and all other places where I am listed (i.e. chat, event attendees, group members, etc.)"  But, the field is greyed out and will not let me edit it.  What can I do?

This setting is determined by whether or not a student has notified the University exercising their right to restrict the disclosure of directory information from the student's educational record.
